The following is required within the first two years of membership for certification:

Food handlers-- OSHA

Blood borne pathogens-- OSHA

Powerful Prenatals-- Carrie Kenner

Childbirth Educator Course-- Doula’s choice

Infant CPR/first aid-- Doula’s choice

Anti-racism & Harm reduction workshop-- Taught by Artic LLC (ongoing through BB and covered by membership)

Basic lactation/feeding support training (ongoing through BB and covered by membership)-- Ashley Treadwell IBCLC and Jen Berryman IBCLC

Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Marc Weisbluth MD

the following reviews need to be submitted for initial certification: 

Three reviews from OB/Midwife

Three reviews from Nurses

Three reviews from birth families 

Three reviews from postpartum families

To maintain certification the following needs to be submitted annually: 

Proof of completion for twelve hours of approved CEUs

One review from a clinical care provider

One review from a birth family 

One review from postpartum family

Infant CPR/First AID

Food handlers

Blood borne pathogens

Anti-Racism, Harm reduction workshop and LGBTQ+ inclusivity.
