Sunrise and sunset shifts

+Get a long morning nap before the day starts

Cost:
$600 for three shifts (4hrs in length)
$200 per shift thereafter

For first-time families we suggest 2-3 weekly sunrise shifts in the first month if you’re not using overnight care.
*For second-time families we suggest a combination of sunrise and sunset shifts depending on older kiddo needs and returning-to-work parents arriving home.

day shift FAQs

What is a typical arrival time? Anywhere between 6:00am and 4:00pm
How long do they usually stay? Anywhere between 3-8hrs per shift, with shifts ending at 6pm. Overnight rate begins at 6pm.
Where is the baby during this time? Usually the Doula wears your baby in a carrier, practices tummy time or helps them stay sleeping independently.
Benefits:
Day time is a great for self-care or education around your recovery or your newborn.
These shifts often include a 10min upper body massage, sitz bath or healing nipple soak.

sunrise shift faqs

What is a typical arrival time? Shifts usually start around 4-5:00am and are about four hours in length. Arrival/Departure hours can vary slightly.
What happens during this shift? You get to catch one last nap before the day begins while your Doula tends to your baby and makes breakfast (from items in your home), coffee or tea for when you wake.
Benefits:
Wake up a little gentler with the smell of a quiche and coffee.

sunset shift faqs

What is a typical arrival and departure time? Shifts usually start around 4-5:00pm and are about four hours in length. Arrival/Departure hours can vary slightly.
Benefits: Allievaite the stress of the dinner and witching hour.
The time between your older child and partner arriving back home from school or work can feel chaotic.
These shifts are geared towards making the late afternoon and early evening time easier on you.
We’ll tidy your space, re-stock your most-used items, make your family dinner, care for your baby, engage with your older kiddo— all while you get a nap, shower or meet a basic need.

overnight shift faqs

What is a typical arrival time? Anywhere between 8:00pm and 11:00pm
How long do they usually stay? Anywhere between 8-12hrs per shift. Overnight rate stays the same no matter the end time.
Where is the baby during this time? Depending on feeding and sleep goals, the baby is usually with the Doula in the nursery or living room and brought to the parents when ready to feed. Usually the Doula wears your baby in a carrier or helps them stay sleeping independently.
Benefits:
Your baby is taken care of by a professional overnight, watching them closely so you can sleep with safety assurance.
You only wake to feed or pump if your are lactating.
You get support around lactation or bottle feeding overnight.
The supporting parent gets a full night of uninterrupted sleep, preparing them to be more helpful the next day.
You receive about 1-2hrs of house chores (laundry, light tidying, meal prep, dishes, etc).
Breakfast and coffee can be ready by the time the Doula is leaving.
Help teaching healthy sleep habits as your baby develops.
